The Community Development Authority and UAE Food Bank Launches The “Fruit Baskets” Initiative To Promote The Values Of Giving And Social Solidarity

As part of its ongoing efforts to reinforce the values of social cohesion and enhance quality of life for all community members, the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai implemented a humanitarian initiative to distribute 250 fruit baskets on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. This was carried out in cooperation with the UAE Food Bank under Dubai Municipality, within a framework of community partnerships that promote sustainable humanitarian work and strengthen a culture of giving.

The initiative comes as part of the CDA’s efforts to enhance social cohesion and expand partnerships with entities that support humanitarian work, in alignment with the objectives of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33,” which aims to establish an integrated system of sustainable community initiatives that target eligible groups and support quality of life.

The initiative benefited 65 individuals from the “Waleef” initiative, in addition to 185 beneficiaries from the Senior Citizens in Al Barsha Majlis. The baskets were delivered directly to beneficiaries’ homes by the Senior Citizens Department teams, enhancing ease of access, service quality, and reflecting the values of integrated care and social solidarity.

Sheikha Al Jarman, CEO of the Social Development Sector at the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai, affirmed that this initiative is part of a series of programs aimed at enhancing the well-being of senior citizens and bringing them joy during official and social occasions, noting that the CDA is keen on ensuring their happiness and improving their quality of life.

Al Jarman added: “This initiative reflects the CDA’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life of senior citizens and bringing joy to their hearts during Eid Al Adha, reflecting the values of generosity and compassion that characterize Dubai’s community. We also continue to strengthen community partnerships and activate their role in supporting social objectives, in line with the ‘Dubai Social Agenda 33,’ which places people at the center of development.”

Manal Obaid Bin Yarouf, Head of the Executive Team at the UAE Food Bank, said: “At the UAE Food Bank, we are committed to supporting community initiatives that promote the values of giving, generosity, and social solidarity, while reinforcing the approach adopted by the UAE and Dubai towards charitable and humanitarian work. The Fruit Baskets initiative also complements our efforts to strengthen the concepts of social responsibility and partnerships that support the national agenda aimed at enhancing quality of life and the wellbeing of community members, as well as promoting the principles of responsible food management and the redistribution of surplus food.”

The CDA concluded by affirming that this initiative reflects Dubai’s position as a leading model in social and humanitarian work, and its continuous commitment to developing innovative initiatives that enhance quality of life and reinforce the values of solidarity and cohesion all community members.

Struggling with Premature Ejaculation? What Every Man in Delhi Must Understand

 Struggling with Premature Ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the most common sexual health concerns affecting men, yet it remains shrouded in silence and stigma—particularly in a bustling metropolis like Delhi, where lifestyle pressures, career stress, and relationship expectations run high. Defined clinically as ejaculation that consistently occurs within one minute of penetration and an inability to delay it, PE can lead to significant distress, low self-esteem, and strained intimate relationships. What every man in Delhi must understand first is that PE is not a reflection of masculinity or virility; it is a medical and psychological condition with identifiable causes.

These include heightened penile sensitivity, anxiety (especially performance anxiety), thyroid disorders, abnormal hormone levels, and even chronic conditions like prostatitis. Importantly, Delhi’s unique urban environment—marked by long commutes, high air pollution, sleep deprivation, and work-related burnout—can exacerbate underlying anxiety and stress, both of which are major triggers for PE. Many men mistakenly believe that PE is untreatable or that seeking help is embarrassing, leading them to suffer in silence or turn to unverified “quick fixes” from local pharmacies or online products that may be ineffective or harmful. The truth is that PE is highly manageable through evidence-based approaches. Behavioral techniques such as the stop-start method and pelvic floor exercises (Kegels) can be practiced discreetly at home.

Topical anesthetics (creams or sprays) are also effective. In addition, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), prescribed off-label by a qualified sexologist or urologist, have proven success in delaying ejaculation. Delhi is home to some of India’s finest sexual health clinics and experienced specialists at institutions like AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, and private centers in South Delhi and Gurgaon. Breaking the silence is the first step. Men should also address lifestyle factors: regular exercise, mindfulness or yoga (widely available across Delhi), adequate sleep, and open communication with partners can significantly reduce PE severity.

Avoiding alcohol and tobacco—both widely consumed in the city’s social culture—is also beneficial. Remember, occasional rapid ejaculation is normal; the diagnosis of PE requires persistence over at least six months. If you recognize this pattern, consult a medical professional without shame. In a progressive city like Delhi, sexual health is an integral part of overall well-being. Taking action not only improves sexual satisfaction but also enhances emotional intimacy and self-confidence. You are not alone, and help is readily available.
